Desert Diary
Lost in the middle of the desert, one quickly understands that it is neither luxury nor comfort that attracts tens of thousands of participants from all over the world but the opportunity to live an extraordinary experience. During one week, the desert of Nevada in the USA sees the birth in its den of the ephemeral city of Black Rock City. It then becomes the spectacle of the most fascinating works of art, of improbable "mutant" vehicles and of festival-goers with the most eccentric disguises wandering on their bicycles. The founder, Larry Harvey likes to recall that the idea was born on a beach in San Francisco around a bonfire. Behind this very Woodstock decor, the Burning Man represents the ideal moment to stand out from all the diktats of consumerist societies.
